Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5164R-001

The 5164A was the first Aquanaut to feature a major complication, an ingenious second time zone that brings the watch fully out of the shadow of its big brother, the Nautilus, Patek’s more famous sport watch. Pushers on the left of the case allow the two zones to be set independently with phenomenal ease, and there are also indicators on the dial to show if you’re reading home or local time. The movement is a modified 324 SC, a stunning calibre that has also been used in the Nautilus. The brushed gold case has a particularly nice effect against the embossed dial, featuring luminous hour markers that are designed to look better with age.
